Podere Consani has wonderful views overlooking the surrounding countryside – to the south-east towards Lucca and the more distant plain to Florence – to the north the stunning marble mountains and the Garfagnana with its picturesque hill-top towns and to the west the sea. The nearest beaches are at Viareggio (30min) and further up the coast are the beautiful sea-side towns of Lerici and Portovenere and the characteristic fishing villages of the Cinque Terre. In fact Podere Consani lies in a very strategic position – only 20 minutes from beautiful historic Lucca surrounded by the magnificent walls on which one can either walk or bike,  45 min from Pisa airport and other historical cities such as Florence, Siena, S. Gimignano, Pisa, Pistoia and Volterra are within easy reach.

San Martino in Freddana, the nearest for shops,  is only 4km away in the valley below – it has a supermarket, 2 banks, a chemist, newsagent and a bakery as well as local restaurants and pizzerias.
